Dubai has transformed into a hub of celebration this Ramadan, offering residents and visitors an array of unique experiences until 30 March.

Organised by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), in collaboration with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the city’s festivities bring communities together in a spectacular blend of culture, entertainment, and gastronomy.

Fireworks and light shows

A series of mesmerising fireworks displays are scheduled across the city, hosted by Al Zarooni Group. The celebrations kick off at Al Seef on 8 March, followed by Dubai Festival City Mall on 15 March, and culminate at Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR on 22 March.

Global Village visitors can also witness dazzling fireworks every Friday and Saturday at 10PM. The city’s landscape is further illuminated by Ramadan Reflections, featuring enchanting light and sound projections at Al Seef, Dubai Festival City Mall, and Ahmed Al Habbai Mosque in Al Khawaneej.

Cultural entertainment

Adding to the festive atmosphere, traditional performances such as BuTbaila and live Oud and Qanoon music are taking place every weekend at key locations, including The Outlet Village, Bluewaters Island, Mirdif City Centre, Mall of the Emirates, and Hatta Heritage Village.

Night markets and shopping deals

Dubai’s Ramadan night markets are a shopper’s paradise, offering exclusive gifts and cultural experiences. The first-ever Ramadan at the Park at Zabeel Park Amphitheatre (6-23 March) features curated iftars, suhoor options, a daily Ramadan cannon by Dubai Police, retail pop-ups, and family-friendly entertainment. The Ramadan Street Food Festival returns to Sheikh Hamdan Colony in Karama with 55 food pop-ups spread across five zones. Other must-visit markets include Hai Ramadan at Expo City Dubai (until 27 March), Ramadan Wonders at Global Village, and the Ripe Market at Academy Park in Umm Suqeim every Saturday.

Gastronomic delights

Dubai’s diverse dining scene is taking centre stage this Ramadan, with restaurants and dining tents offering traditional and contemporary iftar and suhoor experiences. Highlights include an Emirati iftar under the stars at Camel Uschi Farm, a guided Dubai Souks Iftar Food Tour by Frying Pan Adventures, and a cultural iftar at Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Centre for Cultural Understanding. Food delivery platform Zomato is offering exclusive iftar and suhoor deals from over 500 venues, with discounts of up to 50%.

Hatta’s Ramadan offerings

Nestled amidst stunning mountain landscapes, Hatta is hosting cultural and outdoor experiences throughout the holy month. The Hatta Ramadan Nights Festival (5-15 March) features a vibrant marketplace, cultural performances, and traditional arts. Hatta Resorts offers a unique glamping experience with bonfires, BBQs, and access to 18 outdoor activities, including kayaking and mountain biking. Meanwhile, sports enthusiasts can participate in the Hatta Ramadan Sports Tournament, featuring nine competitive games.

Retail promotions and luxury shopping

Shoppers can explore extended mall hours and unbeatable deals at major shopping destinations, including Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, Dubai Festival City Mall, and Ibn Battuta Mall. Luxury brands such as Tanagra, Fendi, and L’Occitane are unveiling exclusive Ramadan collections. Customers also have opportunities to win mega prizes at participating outlets, with promotions by Dubai Jewellery Group and Emirates Skywards Everyday.

Hotel offers and entertainment

Dubai’s world-class hotels are joining in the Ramadan celebrations, with exclusive packages at Al Habtoor Grand Resort, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi, and Swissotel Al Ghurair, among others. Art lovers can explore Interrupting Patterns at Alserkal Avenue (8-16 March) and Ramadan Nights at Jameel Arts Centre (14-16 March). Etihad Museum will offer interactive workshops on henna artistry and handmade paper crafts. Anime fans can visit Naruto The Gallery Experience at Dubai Outlet Mall until 6 April.

Major sporting events include the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament 2025, Ramadan Run Race at Quranic Park, and SKECHERS Inflatable Obstacle Run Race 2. Community and charity initiatives

Reflecting the spirit of giving, the Charity Market by Dar Al Ber Society is running in Bur Dubai until 4 April. The Dubai Islamic Affairs department is also launching multiple Ramadan initiatives from 1 to 29 March, encouraging community participation and generosity.
